But will they switch to tracking graphics or webbugs ?

"they" as the newsletter publishers, will they find a way to track the true reader using web bugs/cookies/embeded images in the RSS/Atom feed to track who's reading the newsletters and verifying somone is reading the newsletter.
I hope that realsimpleshopping would find a way to strip out that kind of tracking, so its like reading a sunday newspaper section.
